My Mvix says File format not supported. How to tell if it is defective.
Solution

If the Mvix player fails to play a certain media file, one of the following is a likely cause:

  • Media Format is not supported by Mvix Player.
  • Please check Mvix specifications
  • Your Media file is corrupted or has a non-standard structure.
  • Your Media file is not encoded properly
  • Mvix Player is defective.

In order to test the functionality of your Mvix player, simply download these MEDIA TEST FILES on your PC, unzip and transfer them to the Mvix Player. Navigate to play and ensure that your player decodes these files completely and that you are able to view these videos.

DivX FORMAT TEST FILE

MPEG-1 FORMAT TEST FILE

MPEG-4 FORMAT TEST FILE

VOB FORMAT TEST FILES (from www.digital-digest.com) (Choose NTSC video)

If your Mvix player is able to play these files, then your player is not defective. Please check your source video files to eliminate any inconsistency in their encoding.

Kindly contact our Tech Support Department, if you have more questions.
