Solution The most common reason that digital videos/movies don't work is because some of the frames are corrupted, invalid or improperly encoded. Some downloaded movies may not work due to incomplete downloaded file. To find out if a movie is incomplete you should test it using GSPOT and open the movie you are having problems playing. If the Stat field for the file says that the file length is correct the file is complete. If the Stat field for the file says that the file is truncated the file is incomplete and you need to redownload of fix this problem. There is a program called DIVFIX which can be used to rebuild the missing index part so that you can watch partially downloaded (incomplete) DivX movies.

If the movie is complete and it still won't work it's probably because some frames are corrupted or invalid. This is a common problem if the encoding is not done in the desired format.

We've provided a small DivX/Xvid video clip that can be used to test your Mvix player. Download Sample Divx and try to watch it, but make sure that it is complete. If the small DivX video clip plays fine then you can conclude that there is some problem with your video file. If you experience the same errors/problems with the small clip then you may want to update the firmware of your device and see if the problem is solved.
