Why do you sell Mvix Media Centers without an installed HDD?
Solution In order to provide flexibility and scalability of use, Mvix Media Players are being provided WITHOUT an installed HDDs. While there are many factors that contribute to this policy, the three key reasons are:
  1. Time Constraints: Installing, Formatting and Partitioning HDDs is a time consuming (and hence costly) process. While the task is easy to do, it is simply labor intensive. Most of our customers are tech-savvy and prefer to install/format/partition the HDDs by themselves. We prefer to pass the savings on to our customers.
  2. Flexibility and Scalability: One of our desires is to make the Mvix Media Center highly flexible and scaleable for the user. We allow users to customize the Mvix player by using the size and type of HDD they are most comfortable with. Customers can also choose to have the type of format and number of partitions at their own will. Such customization leads to higher levels of personal satisfaction.
  3. Cost: Our customers are extremely savvy shoppers. By combining coupons, rebates and other sales promotions, our customers can often buy hard drives (HDDs) at a much lower price from the retail market than we can from our distributors. We salute our customers for being able to do that!
Having said that, we do provide HDD bundles and installation services to customers who would like to have a complete and ready-to-go package. If you are interested in purchasing an Mvix unit with an installed HDD, simply email our Sales Department (sales@mvixusa.com) for a quote and we will be happy to help!
