How to install Media Browser Plug in for Vista and Windows 7 Media Center for your Mvix Minx
Solution
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to install the Media Browser plugin on Windows Media Center on the Mvix Minx when running the Windows Vista or Windows 7.
Purpose:
Show users how ti onstall the Media Browser plugin for Windows Media Center on Windows Vista or Windows 7 for owners of the Mvix Minx Media Center. Movie Browser will allow users to have an interface for their media, and provide cover art, and background fan art.
Requirements:
Only the Premium and Ultimate versions include Windows Media Center. Movie Browser current is free, but will eventually become a plugin which will require to be purchased.
Installing Movie Browser
:
Download the latest version of Movie Browser from
Google Code
Double click the installer for Movie Browser and then press
Next.
Accept the license agreement and click on
next.
After selecting your installation directory click on
next.
Click on
Install.
You will now see Media Browser install.
After the installation finishes, ensure
Configure Initial Settings
is select then click
Finish
.
You will now need to add network or local media shares. Click on
Add
and then add any media shares you want to add.
After you have added the share, you can select an image to be displayed in Media Browser for the collection.
Click on the Advanced Tab. Under Display you can Enable the Advanced Home Screen, and select Localized Weather Display.
You will now see Media Browser install.
In Order to mounted ISO's, and display them you will need to install Daemon Tools or Virtual Clone Drive, and setup the Location under ISO Mounting Settings.
Select the Plugins Tab, and click on
Add.
Select MediaInfo Provider and click on
Install.
You will now see MediaInfo Provider installed. Click on
Add.
Select
High Quality Thumbnails
and click on
Install.
You will now see both plugins installed.
Under Theme settings we recommend changing the main theme to Vanilla.
Using Media Browser in Windows Media Center:
Go to Start -> All Programs -> Windows Media Center and double click the
Windows Media Center icon
.
Windows Media Center will start.
Scroll to
Media Browser
, and click
Enter/OK.
The first time Media browser loads you will see a
Configure
button. Press
Enter/ok.
Change any of the General Settings, scroll to Continue, and press
Enter/OK.
Media Browser will close, and you will need to click on Media Browser.
After re-opening Media Browser you will see the following. You can now browse your collection and watch your media.
