 How to Install XBMC on the Mvix Minx running Windows Vista and Windows 7
Solution This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to install XMBC on the Mvix Minx when running the Windows XP/Vista/7.

Purpose : Show the installation for XBMC on windows for customers who have purchased the Mvix Minx Media Center. 

Installing XBMC:
  1. Open your favorite web browser and navigate to:  http://xbmc.org/download/  You will want to click on the Windows Icon and download the latest XBMC for Windows installation.

  2. Once the download completes, you will want to double click the installation file, and you will be greeted by the following window:



     
  3. Click Next and Agree to the License Agreement.



  4. Choose all the pre-selected components and click Next.



  5. Next you will choose the installation directory, unless neccessary, use the default entry and click on next.



  6. Next you will chose the Profile path.  If you would like multiple users to each have their own profile, choose the first default option.  If you want simply one profile, then select the Portable mode.



  7. Next choose the Start Menu Folder, we recommend the default, and click on Install.



  8. You will now see XBMC install.



  9. XBMC is now installed.  You can select the "Run XBX Media Center" check box, and click Finish to start XBMC. * If you have not installed the Grahpics Drivers for your Video Card, it is highly recommended you install them before running XBMC, else XBMC may not start.  Drivers for Nvidia Cards can be found at http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us and drivers for ATI Cards can be found at http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx*



  10. XBMC should now be running.
