Ipod to Mvix - How to Re-Encode Popular File Formats for the Mvix

Using Super(c) is the easiest way to convert stubborn AVI/MP4/VOB/etc. files into a consistent DivX format that will play on your Mvix. Many video files distributed on the internet today are compressed MP4 (Ipod/Sony PSP) format. These files, and many other formats, can easily be converted to a DivX format so you can play them on your Mvix player! You can download Super(c) for FREE by visiting eRightSoft's download page.

Once you have downloaded and installed Super(c), begin by changing the settings as follows:

There are a number of formats (click for supported formats) that will work on the Mvix, but we have found that an AVI, coded with DivX and using MP3 as an audio output works best. You can play around with the settings to see which format works best for you, but not all formats in this program are supported by the Mvix players.

When you are finished changing the output preferences, right-click anywhere on the Super(c) interface to bring up a menu. You can add the file(s) that you with to encode by selecting “Add Multimedia File(s)” from this menu.

You can also change the output folder for your encoded file by selecting “Specify the Output Folder Destination”.

Once you have selected your output folder, click on “Add Multimedia File(s)”. You can now select from a wide array of different video formats (Ipod MP4, AVI, VOB, etc) to be encoded. If your files do not show up on the screen, be sure to use the “Files of Type” dropdown to select the appropriate format.

Select your files and click “Open”

Your files will now appear on the encoding list. All you have to do now is click “Encode”.

A dialogue box may pop up asking which type of DivX you wish to encode:

Select the first one on the list and press OK to begin encoding your video. Once the encoding process is complete, your Divx file will be available in the destination folder you selected earlier. You can then drag and drop this file onto your Mvix and begin watching!
