How do I Create an Audio Playlist for my Mvix MX-760HD or MX-780HD?
Solution

This guide provides step by step instructions on creating an Audio Playlist for your favorite songs to play back on Mvix MX-760HD / Mvix MX-780HD Mvix Multimedia Centers.

Required Software: Playlist Creator 3.5 (Freeware)

Procedure:

  1. Download and install Playlist Creator 3.5
  2. Start Playlist Creator 3.5
  3. Mvix Playlist

  4. Click the blue folder with the plus sign icon to add a song, or a directory of songs. Once the songs are added it should appear as in the following picture:

  6. Continue to use the blue folder icon to add songs. When complete, click on the empty blue folder in the Save Location area, you can now choose where to save your play list.
  7. Enter a name under Name and type, and select .m3u from the drop down button.
  8. Press the Create Playlist button.
  9. Find the location where you saved the playlist, right click on the file, and select open with, and open the file with notepad. (Windows XP users may have to hit the shift button while right clicking to see the “Open With” option). Alternatively you can open notepad, browse to the folder with the playlist and open it.

  10. As you will see the playlist points to ..\Music\ and for this playlist to work on our mvix player, we must precede the directory structure with “..\part1\”.
  11. In Notepad click on edit, and select “replace”.
  12. Next you will want to select the first portion of your location, in my case ..\Music and put it in the “find what” section, and in the “Replace with” section put which hard drive and your location, in my case “..\part1\music”. Once you have done his, select replace all.

  14. Your playlist should now look like this:

  16. Now save the playlist. The playlist is now ready for your Mvix MX-760HD\780HD. Make sure that the Music\directory name path in your Playlist is the same as in the playlist itself.
  17. Browse to the playlist, select, and hit play and playback will begin.
