How do I Configure my Logitech Harmony Remote to work with Mvix Media Center?
Solution

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up a Logitech Harmony® Remote with your Mvix MX-760HD or Mvix MX-780HD. This will allow you to set-up one button functions to start your Mvix player, turn your TV to the correct input, and turn on your Receiver.

Note: You must have a Logitech Harmony® Remote in order to follow this KnowledgeBase Article. This article is strictly to be used for Mvix Media Center Owners with Logitech Harmony® Remotes, who want to skip manual programming their Harmony® Universal Remote.

Procedure:

  1. Open up your favorite web browser and go to http://members.harmonyremotes.com
  2. If you do not have a Logitech Harmony® account, click on Create new Account and create your account.

  3. Login to the account.
  4. Click the More Options Button.
  5. Click on Add Device.
  6. Under Device, select Computer, then Media Center PC.
  7. Under Manufacturer select Mvix.
  8. Under Model select your Mvix Player Model, in this illustrative example, we select MX-760HD.
  9. Click on the Next button. You may see a screen which asks if you have your Mvix remote, answer No. Harmony® will now find a model number close to your Mvix Media Player. For instance MV-5000R / MV-5000U users should just enter MV-5000. If you do include the R and U in the model number, you will be asked if you have the remote. In that case select No, and Harmony® will tell you it found a close model, the MV-5000.
  10. Click the NEXT button and you will be returned to the Main Menu listing your devices.
  11. You can now proceed to Add Activities for your Mvix Player, and to turn the TV to the right input, as well as turn on your audio receiver.
