This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to find the serial number, and the CD-Key for your Mvixbox WDN-2000

Required Software: None

Purpose: Locate the serial number, and the CD-Key for your Mvixbox.

Finding your MAC Address, CD-Key, and Serial number for your Mvixbox:

1. Shutdown the Mvixbox by logging in as Sysadmin, and going to the System Management area, and choosing Shutdown, and the clicking on Apply.


2. Once the Mvixbox has powered down, disconnect the power cable and the ethernet cable.


3. Lay the player on it's side, with the bottom of the player facing you. This will be the the part of the unit which has the fan grill area. You will see a silver sticker like in the image below:



4. In this picture you will see the following:
   
   MAC Address: This is the network device's MAC address.
   
   CD Key: This is the key you need to use with the Mvixbox installer that comes on your CD. Note, there are no letter o's, anything that looks like an o is a zero "0".
   
   WDN2000: This is the serial number of your Mvixbox WDN-2000, which you will need in case you need to open a support ticket with MvixUSA.
   

Problems, Questions, Corrections:

If the installer is not finding your MvixBOX, please ensure you are using the CD Key, not the Serial number. There was a misprint in the Owners Manual. Also, there will only be zero's in the CD Key, there are no letters o in the key.
