This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how
to install NTFS-3G on OS X 10.6.2.
Purpose : Out of the box OS X only provides READ support for NTFS volumes. In order to be able to write to your Mvix Player using a NTFS partition, and connected via USB, NTFS-3G will need to be installed.
Steps:
- Download NTFS-3G.
- Open the DMG file you downloaded.
- Open the Install NTFS-3G.mpkg package.

- Click Continue when the following window comes up.

- The NTFS-3G Installer will be displayed. Click Continue.

- At the Software License Agreement screen select Continue.

- Agree to the Terms and click Agree.

- The installation will require you to reboot. Click on Install.

- Enter your username and password then click OK.

- Select the Caching mode. We recommend using No caching, as this is the safest method.
Click Continue.

- After the install completes, Click Restart.

- After the reboot, open System Preferences, and open NTFS-3G.
- Click on the lock, to authenticate, so you can enable NTFS-3G.

- Authenticate using your username and password.

- Click the Enable button to Enable NTFS-3G. And then click the lock.

- You should now be able to write to NTFS partitions. If you find you cannot, open the NTFS-3G configuration application under System Preferences and ensure NTFS-3G is enabled and that your partition is listed.
