This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how
to setup Samba sharing on OS X 10.6.2 for the Mvix Ultio and Ultio Pro.
Purpose : Show the steps to setup Samba sharing on OS X 10.6.2.
Steps:
- Open System Preferences
- Double click the Sharing Icon.
- In the sharing window, select check the "File Sharing" option.
- Now you will have enabled file sharing. Click on the Options button.
- Now you will want to check Share files and folders using SMB (Windows). Select the account you want to have ownership of this share. Then click Done.
- Under Shared Folders click the plus button, and add the directory you want to share. Then click Add.
- Under Users, click the Plus button, and add the Everyone group if it has not been added. Change the access to Read Only, or Read & Write.
- Now you should be able to see the share from your Mvix Ultio.
