This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add a torrent file to the Mvix Ultio/Ultio Pro so that the Bit Torrent client on the player downloads the torrent.

Disclaimer: It is illegal to download something that is being distributed without the owners permission. This covers most music, film, movies, and programs for a computer. Also remember that P2P type file sharing program (like the one available on the Mvix Ultio) can cause you to accidentaly download viruses and malware.

Mvix Ultio or any of it's accessories must not be used for any unathorized functionalities or for downloading, distributing, any other works protected as copyright. No license to infringe copyright is granted by the sale or use of this equipment.



Purpose : Many users may want their favorite torrent downloads to be downloaded to the Mvix Ultio\Ultio Pro to eliminate having a PC turned on just for Bit Torrent downloads. This knowledgebase article provides support in using the included Bit Torrent client, so that the downloaded videos and music will be ready for them on their Mvix when they get home.

Prerequisite Steps:

  1. Please ensure that the internal drive on your Ultio/Ultio Pro has been formatted by the player.
  2. Owners of Mvix Ultio's, should enable Bit Torrent under Setup/Systems.
  3. Owners of Mvix Ultio Pro's should install the Bit Torrent and Samba clients, as described here: Ultio Pro Module Install
  4. Download a .torrent file to your PC, that you wish for the Ultio to download.


Steps:
  1. Please ensure you have followed the Prerequisite Steps.

  2. Open a Web Browser on your PC and navigate to http:\\venus or http:\\IPofYourUltio, such as http:\\192.168.1.4\


  3. Login using the username admin, and password 123.

  4. Under Neighborhood Web, click on BitTorrent Download.


  5. You will now see the Queue screen where all In Progress Torrent Files are listed. Click on +Add New Torrent.


  6. Click on the Choose File button, to browse your PC for the .torrent file you wish for the Ultio to download. Then select OK.


  7. Click on Yes to Confirm the action and go back to the Queue screen.


  8. The Queue screen will now show the torrent file being downloaded. The start of the downloading could take up to one minute.

  9. The content will be downloaded to the BT directory in the internal drive.

Special Note:

  1. Mvix suggests forwarding port 6881 from your router to the Mvix Ultio/Ultio Pro. This will increase the speed transfer for your downloads, and ease upload's of the torrent file to other downloaders.
