 How to create a Schedule in the Primus Content Management System

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create a schedule in the Mvix Primus Web-Application Content Management System.

Purpose : Show the steps on how to create a schedule in the Mvix Primus Web-Application Content Management System. In order to follow through with this, you will need a previously created playlist. If you do not have a playlist created, please see How to create a Playlist

  1. Browse to the Primus site, and enter your login, password, and corp ID.


  2. Once Logged in, click on "Composer" and then "Schedule". This will a calender, and on the left will be a listing of all existing schedules. Click "New" to create a new schedule.



  3. Click on the day you'd like for this schedule to run.



  4. On the right side, if necessary click on "Recurrence" in order to select multiple days. Please note, using any browser but Chrome can cause this functionality to break. Please press [Ctrl]for multiple selection or [Ctrl]+[Shift] for sequent selections. Click "ok" once you have selected all of the days. NOTE: If you need to delete the schedule(s) for the day, select your day and click on "Delete Day Schedule".



  5. From the Playlist dropdown box, please select the playlist you'd like to use. Above the playlist, select the starting and ending time for this playlist. If you choose the default it will run 24 hours a day. Once you have selected the start and end time, click on the "+" button next to the playlist dropdown.




  6. Click on the "Save As" button, in order to save the schedule with a name and a description.

     

  7. Once you have entered the name and description you can click on "Ok" to save the schedule
