How to create a Playlist in the Primus Content Management System
Solution

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create a playlist in the Mvix Primus Web-Application Content Management System.

Purpose : Show the steps on how to create a playlist in the Mvix Primus Web-Application Content Management System.

Steps:

  1. Browse to the Primus site, and enter your login, password, and corp ID.

  2. Once Logged in, click on "Composer" and then "Playlist". This will show any Playlists you have created. You can click the "+" next to Playlist to see all existing playlists. There will be none unless you created some already.

  3. In the lower left area click on "New". Much like creating a template, you now have the template box where you can create a template that you will assign a playlist to. In the Drop down you need to select your resolution. This should match the resolution of your display.

  4. With the resolution set, you can now hover your mouse pointer over the content area and right click. Here you will get the option to add a Background, Weather Info, Movie, Image, Message , Webimage, or an RSS Message. You can also set the zone position, transparency, and/or delete the zone you have selected.

  5. In our example we have created an image zone which will display multiple images.

  6. In order to create a playlist for the zone, and to add content to the playlist, you must double click the zone, and you should see the following display.

  7. You will now select the images you want to add to the zone, by highlighting the image and clicking the "+" button. Once the content is added you can select the duration and the transition effect. Once you are done click the "OK" button.

  8. Now that the content has been added your playlist should show the zone(s) you have created, and the first item in the playlist.

  9. Click on the "Save As" button, in order to save the playlist with a name and a description.

  10. Now your playlist is saved and it can be deployed using a Standard Campaign.
