 How to setup the Mvix Solido 802.11n wireless adapter in OS X 10.6.2
Solution This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to setup the Mvix Solido 802.11n wireless adapter on OS X 10.6.2.

Purpose : Show the steps to setup the Mvix Solido 802.11n wireless adapter on OS X 10.6.2.

Steps:
  1. Unzip the Driver Archive you downloaded from the support site.

  2. Go inside the unzipped folder and run the Installer application.



  3. In the Installation Window click on Continue.



  4. At the Important Information screen, select Continue.



  5. At the Software License Agreement select Continue.


         
  6. Click on Agree.



  7. In the Standard install screen select Install.



  8. Enter your usename and password to authenticate the installation, and click OK.


  9. The installation will require you to reboot. Click on Continue Installation.


  10. After the installation finishes, click on Restart. If the installer fails to install, please run the installer a second time. This is a known bug with Snow Leopard.


  11. After the reboot, connect the Solido. You will see window below, click on the Network Preferences button.


  12. Select the Solido adapter, highlight it, and then click on Apply.

  13. Open the Realtek Wireless Utility and click on the Add button.


  14. Under Profile Properties enter the name for the Profile, the SSID, select the Network Authentication type, Data Encryption tape, and enter the Network Key. Once you have done this click on OK.



  15. Under Link Status you should now see the Solido connected to your wireless connection.



  16. Network preferences should now also show the connection.


  17. Upon future reboots the Realtek Wireless utility will come up, and the preffered connection/profile will be used to connect.

  18. If the installer fails to install, please run the installer a second time. This is a known bug with Snow Leopard.
