How do I enable Korean Language Support for Mvix MV-5000R
Solution

This is a contribution from one of our customers who was able to figured this out and tested it and verified it. Anyone who's trying this should have good knowledge of Korean language and characters.

  1. Go to Mvix Partner Site.
  2. Go to download section.
  3. Find firmware under MV-6000R (This is similar to MV-5000R but with Korean language support).
  4. For your reference, you should see something like the following (your browser may show garbage here if you don't have korean language turned ON, See SETUP menu):
    새로운 펌웨어가 릴리즈 되었습니다.

일부 Mv-6000R 제품 중 한글지원 안되는 제품은 업데이트 하시면 한글메뉴를
    사용하실 수 있습니다.

    펌웨어 파일정보
    파일명 : uni_r6lcdnofm_1_69.bin
    용량 : 3,392,25K
  5. Download the latest vesion (it's 1.69 as of now) and store it into your Mvix internal drive in \UPGRADE directory
  6. Follow the firmware upgrade instruction in the SETUP --> FIRMWARE section.
