MvixUSA NDAS Device ID / KEY Request
NDAS (Network Direct Attached Storage) is Ximeta™'s patented technology which has been licensed and integrated in Mvix MX-760HD firmware to enable network file management. This functionality will allow users to transfer/delete/rename files from their PC to the internal drive of Mvix MX-760HD over a wired or wireless network.
In order to enable the network management of files, users are required to use a Device ID and KEY to install and configure this licensed software. Device ID and KEY for the NDAS software is linked to the specific MAC addresses (wired and wireless) of your Mvix MX-760HD Wireless HD Media Center. If you have purchased your Mvix MX-760HD Media Center prior to Aug.31st, 2007, you can request the Device ID and KEY by sending the MAC addresses of your Mvix MX-760HD to your local reseller.
To request the ID/KEY, you will need the MAC Address of your Mvix MX-760HD Media Center. (Refer: How Do I obtain the MAC address of my Mvix MX-760HD?).
Do NOT use this form if your Mvix MX-760HD Media Center was purchased after Aug, 2007. Units purchased after Aug, 2007 contain the NDAS ID / KEY "pre-printed" at the back.
WARNING: Please verify the MAC address (of your Mvix MX-760HD) and your email address before requesting the ID / KEY. Incorrect MAC address will yield an incorrect ID /KEY which may not work with your Mvix MX-760HD. Your ID and KEY will be mailed to you to your email address in the next 10-15 days. The NDAS license (ID / KEY) are proprietary access codes (a $5 royalty value), provided directly by Ximeta.
Why are you collecting MAC Addresses?
MvixUSA, Inc. distributes the Mvix firmware freely. Ximeta™ Inc. requires a licence for use of Ximeta™ NDAS Software. The NDAS software license is "linked" to the MAC address of the device with which it will be used. Ximeta requires us to collect these MAC address so as to generate these license IDs and KEY.
